Many misdeeds – one punishment

Guess who has come over to my house today? Bethany Leigh and she has brought with her the greatly anticipated Anthology of Short Stories that she has put together for us.

A Cure for All Ills

Alyssa:   Bethany, I am so excited you are here. I have already snapped this one up.

It is perfect for when you don't have a lot of time in one block and are never satisfied if you have to put down a story before it is finished.

Your last books were so well developed that I knew this would be an easy decision to purchase it.

So, can you tell us about what you have put together for us?

Bethany: Sure. Well this is a taste of what you will get:

He left and she could hear the clatter of plates in the kitchen. Quickly, she grabbed her handbag – she didn't want to leave the bag of spaghetti in there, it would smell. She chucked the bag onto the fire.

The fire popped and cracked loudly, alarmingly. Shut up, she willed it, suddenly apprehensive, shut up.

"Wow, what's happened to the fire?" Adam asked, coming in with two bowls of sticky date pudding and custard. It was exploding angrily, flames flaring, sparks fizzing. He put the bowls down and strode towards it.

"I'll poke it while you –"

But it was too late. He was already investigating the remains of plastic bag and uneaten food. Maddie swallowed. She didn't know what to do, what to say. She wanted to get out of there. She wished she'd never come.

Slowly, Adam placed the poker against the fireplace. Then he turned to look at her.

Alyssa: Oh man, is she in some trouble. But I think you touch on areas that many women and couples face. Issues that can take over their lives unless they are addressed.

In fact, that is the commonality in this anthology, right?

Bethany: Right. Every lady in this collection is dealing with some kind of issue that may impeded her happiness. Here, let me introduce you to the women whose stories I tell.

Meet the women from A Cure for All Ills

Maddie is struggling with an eating disorder when she starts dating Adam. When he catches her hiding food instead of eating it, he decides to help her overcome her eating disorder with some tough love that includes spankings.

Caroline thinks she’s met the spanking hero of her dreams when a colleague puts her across his knee after the office party. But a phone call shatters her romantic illusions and leaves her determined to have nothing more to do with him.

Louise is a time-travel tour leader from 2065. She’s also a frustrated spanko.  So when she discovers there was a serial spanker at large in 1680s London, the temptation to take an illicit trip back in time to have him spank her is too much to resist.

Ellie’s husband loves keeping up old traditions – but that doesn’t extend to keeping up traditional household roles. Can a trip to the Czech Republic, where there’s a very special Easter Monday spanking tradition, help bring Tim round to Ellie’s way of thinking?

Ginny has been reported for letting her dog run free in an on-lead area. When a fine arrives in the post, she remembers the spankings she used to receive from Andy before they had children. Worried about possible punishment, she tries a little subterfuge.

Sarah and Dan have been together for one year. She’s made great plans for the perfect wedding anniversary, but when she wakes up he’s already ensconced in his man-cave. Sarah’s furious reaction results in a day that promises to be memorable – but not for the reasons she’d planned.
